- Echos co-directors are Ros Terry and Gabby Vautier
Ros is a creative producer with particular expertise in new writing, contemporary work and participation. Currently she is the Senior Producer, Public Acts at the National Theatre a new nationwide initiative to create extraordinary acts of theatre and community. Ros’ role is to shape the long-term strategic and creative vision for the programme, building sustained partnerships with communities and theatres across the UK and creating ambitious new works of participatory theatre.
Prior to this Ros was the Producer of the Royal Court Theatre delivering their in-house productions, co-productions, national, international and schools tours and a number of one off projects.
Previously she was a producer at the National Theatre where she run their flagship youth theatre programme ‘Connections’, an annual festival in collaboration with 45 UK theatres. Each year commissioning ten new plays from leading playwrights for up to 500 young theatre companies and 10,000 young people to produce and perform. Ros was responsibility for all these relationships and ensured that Connections was an inspiring programme of the highest quality enabling young people to take part in all aspects of theatre-making and theatre production.
Prior to this she was the Producer of Clean Break for three years where my role was to further the company’s artistic vision and outputs in theatre venues, festivals, prisons and non-cultural settings.
Ros’ current freelance producing and consultance work includes; Eclipse Theatre‘s UK tour of ‘Princess & the Hustler’ by Chinonyerem Odimba, Belarus Free Theatre, Toby Peach, Playing ON. Independent producing credits include; UK tour of ‘Bird’ by Laura Lomas, the JMK Award Winning productions of ‘Far Away’ by Caryl Churchill and ‘Disco Pigs’ by Enda Walsh at the Young Vic.

Ros also has extensive freelance experience working for the events company Costinpank clients including Hermes, Luella Bartley, Marks and Spencers, Bulgari, Gareth Pugh and Selfridges.

Gabby was the Head of Creative and Professional Practice in Creative Learning at the Barbican and Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Gabby produced Punchdrunks production Crash ofthe Elysium at Manchester International Festival in collaboration with the BBC and has been Freelance Producer with The Playground, The Bush Theatre and ATC.
From 2003-2010 Gabby worked at The Young Vic Theatre in Audience Development and Outreach, Producing for the Studios and on Tour, Management and Development of the Genesis Young Directors and Designers Programme and Creative Associate.
Gabby was a participant of the TheatreFit International Festival Producers Lab 2011 and was a StepChange participant in 2009.
